They've had adventures for the last two (of four) months.

I meant when the first included an adventure. The author in an interview said he was surprised it was included, he had no warning. I've heard from others that it was a surprise as well. A welcome one.

you're going to have to point that out. cite. The article doesn't attribute those words directly to wotc.

In fairness, Chris Perkins does say "Dragon+ is a digital descendant of a much older print publication called Dragon magazine" in his intro to issue #1.

Edit: even better, from Matt Chapman, in his "Letter from the Editor" in issue #1: "If I'd told my younger self I'd one day be editing the successor to Dragon magazine, which my friends and I used to pore over, I'm not sure I'd have believed you."

I think it's a terrible approach. They should do Dragon (including Dungeon/adventures) as a free webzine with HTML articles. HTML is the way of the future, man - even 'The American Conservative' went HTML years
ago! :D

Edit: If they wanted to make money it could be advertiser supported, by games stores & other
publishers as well as by WoTC. There seems to be a big taboo these days
against allowing other companies' TMs to appear in your in-house magazines though, not sure why but it's done a lot of harm to the RPG games industry.

I prefer the pdf format as well.

If WotC is going to release an app, then that app needs to do more than just ape the WotC website, which is a platform capable of delivering all the content they are placing on their app.

The app needs to be a tool worth using, not something that leaves me wondering why I am using up memory on my smartphone for an app that behaves like a slow, clunky web browser that only delivers WotC content.

Aha! My spidey-senses detect a person who does not read the news page! Just this week --

Well at least IMHO it got better with each issue. Just downloading the December issue and keeping my fingers crossed that the trend continues, in this case we could have a very nice e-zine by this time next year
