3.5

But its going to be difficult to convince my players to buy the new rulebooks. I like the changes and I like the clarity of the rules (esp. combat).

In any case, the 3.5 corebooks are going to be the last RPG books I'll buy for a long while now. As I've said before, gaming books are too expensive for my taste--I got the 3.5 books off amazon for 30% off. That was really the only way I'd have bought those books. 3.0 worked well enough to play a game. I wasn't going to pay full price just to get clarified rules and SOME new artwork.

Well, there's my two cents.

3.0, because my DM doesn't feel like changing. He seems to like just about every change I've mentioned, but doesn't want to buy new books. Oh well.

If/when I run a campaign, it'll be 3.5.

Neither.

It looks like our group has burned out on D&D (or at least the GMs have).

Right now we are discussing what system to change to, but it might be Mutants & Masterminds...

i'm going to echo Meepo here: i'm currently playing in a 3.0 campaign that's going to stay 3.0, but when/if i get a chance to DM, it'll definitely be 3.5... (if it isn't d20 Modern, Star Wars d20, or M&M! :D )
