Other. I don't think I've ever had a character run in realtime long enough that I would be extremely upset by having to start from scratch.

Had little interest in 3.5e (though we use a few of the spells, but little else). My wife and I have no money for more gaming books, so its highly unlikely that we will even consider purchasing the PHB.

I voted "Other" because I just don't care much about it. I mostly play Living Greyhawk, what I do depends on RPGA's edicts. Likely there won't be any conversion involved, it'll be a restart of the whole campaign.

There are several pcs imc now that started in 2nd edition; there are some gods that started as 1e characters. Shrug.

I voted other - been in "the game" for twenty-eight years and a house-rules modified 3.5 is my ladt edition there will be no conversion; in fact since the announcement of the elimination of printed Magazines, Dragon and Dungeon I will not purchase anything from WoC

I am not going to convert. I hate doing it I have done it three times with Shadowrun characters and twice with DnD characters. Its a pain and it never is the same character. So for now I am going to keep running my games 3.5

I get to convert not only my own PCs, but 8-10 pages of house rules for my game. Fiddling with the new rule set is going to be awesome. I live for this stuff...

Conversion is for players who want to be molly-coddled!

A REAL gamer takes burrowing ear monsters and no-save spells and DIES like a MAN.

And then recreates the same character in new rules.

If character creation is as express as they sound like they're making it, there shouldn't be much of a problem.
