I swear I saw a magic armor ability that reduces ASF... but I can't remember the details or the source. Can anyone help? (I'm asking about WOTC products)
The cleric just discarded his mithral chain shirt for a +1 Mithral Breastplate. The wizard is thinking of spending a feat for light armor proficiency IF he can get rid of the spell failure chance... is there such an ability?
I know Monte's Book of Eldritch Might II has "Spellcasting", which would do the trick: Reduce spell failure chances by 15% as a +2 ability. A +2 ability is expensive... if the wizard goes through with it it will be for flavor/roleplay reasons, not so much because it makes sense financially. 9000 gp and a feat for a +5 armor bonus... hmmm.
