Armor Spikes and Shield Spikes

As far as I can tell both armor and shield spikes are considered light weapons (therefore finesseable) and do 1d6 damage. My question is do shield and armor spikes do the same amount of damage for small characters? and are they finesseable for small characters?

I know that under the shield description it talks about shield bash and how the small and large shield do different damages and that a small and medium sized characters shields do different damage. However under shield spikes, both the small and large shield do the same 1d6 damage.

Anyways, any help would be most appreciative.

Base the spike damage from the creature's size, not the size of the shield. Just my recommendation.

I would treat it like a weapon.

a Greatsword that is Halfling size dose not do 2d6 damage.
