Arms & Armor Open Call

Questions

Concerning weapons: How technolgically advanced are you looking for? I assume no modern weapons, or primative gunpowder weapons, but say repeating crossbow or a dagger blade concealed within a swords hilt? Furthermore, do you want more emphasis on magic weapons and armor or mudane?

Any help you can give would be excellant.

We're looking for weapons and armor that would be found in the 'typical' medieval society that utilizes magic. We're emphasizing magic, but providing all sorts of new nonmagical armor and weapons as well.

A couple quick questions about the submission itself.

1) What format would you like it written in (txt, doc, rtf, etc. ) ?

2) Attachment to the Email? Or, if plain text, included in the Email itself?

3) If we want the submission as an attachment and say we have two or more submissions, do you want each as a seperate attachment or all included in one long document attachment?

Obviously, the answers to some of these questions null out the need to answer the others.

Sorry if the questions seem trivial, I just wanted to make sure all stayed kosher and as easy as possible for you folks to process. :)

Many thanks in advance.

RTF works best.

As an attachment.

Put everything in one document. We'll go through it and pick and choose the materials that will best fit the book.

I would have thought that this would be a no-brainer, but please make sure that you include your complete contact information with your submission in the attachment itself. It will make mine and Jim's job a lot easier.

Believe it or not, I've gotten a submission with no information or name (only an email address which bounced on the reply).

I wasn't too impressed with the original Arms & Armor; of all the art in there, I don't think I saw a single straight line.
Hmm. While I wasn't aware of any requirement for good art having straight lines, we will be having new art in the book. I'll tell the artists that you'd like to see some straight lines. ;-)

1.) Weapon and Armor Qualities: New qualities to add to weapons & armor. They should be formatted *exactly* as they appear in the DMG.

Not having the DMG, can someone please give an example of the format?

Thanks & Merry Christmas!

How long does it take for you guys to respond to submissions? Do you send a quick note confirming you have recieved them? Do you reply to all the submissions, even the ones you don't use?

Thanks in advance.
