Arms & Armor Open Call

All submissions are diverted straight to a certain file folder in my mailbox and will not be looked at until in detail after the deadline. We will notify only those individuals whose submissions we choose to use. It is vital that you include all of your contact information with your submission. If you are concerned that your submission may not arrive, you should request a return receipt under your email options.

WOW! That was quick. I asked because I sent a rather short submission, it is only 4 items. I hope that won't be a negative in your eyes.

I was hoping you would look it over and see if I followed directions and/or was writing good stuff. I guess that is not going to happen :)

If I submit more should I include what I have already sent? or only the new stuff?

Thanks again!

I haven't received anything from you as of yet, Joe. GO ahead and send again.

The number of submissions is meaningless, it's the quality that matters. I'd rather see 3 or 4 really good submissions than a dozen sloppy ones. :)

I just resent it. It should be coming from:

cscaturo@hotmail.com

Thanks for looking out for me!

First thank you for taking the time to do an open call as it is always great to get to see something a fan has done in print and then to actually pay us for stuff we would do for free is wonderful

Do we need to show our work when doing priceing for the magical items as you do with Dungeon or Dragon submissions?

Can we turn weapons from Arms and Armor I into magic items for submission or are we to stick with the SRD? (example Hackmaster is a +20 Executioner's Sword favored by munchkin fighters j/k)

How do you deal with magic quaterstaffs (Craft magic arms and armor vs. Craft Staff)?

Again thank you for your time and your effort it is most appreciated as I get a great deal a use from Arms and Armor I. I hope for more art showing each and every item. (but one can always hope)

Showing your work would be nice, but it's not required.

Feel free to use Arms & Armor in addition to the SRD. In fact, feel free to use material from any Bastion Press product (assuming you do considerable work to it; we'll collecting OGC from all of our materials).

For the most part, I'd use Craft Magic Arms & Armor for any quarterstaff meant to be used in combat. If it's primarily a staff with a bunch of cool magic abilities, I'd use Craft Staff.

Well, I can't promise we'll illustrate each and every item... but we'll try and get most of the important ones covered. ;-)

I just sent about half of my stuff (I'm afraid I won't have time to do the rest before the 11th). :-(

Whoops! For some reason, I thought the deadline was 1/15. Looks like I'll be submitting far less than I'd planned.
