I heard that Fox picked up The War At Home for the entire season. Apparently, people would rather watch that than Arrested Development. Why? What's wrong with people?
The last episode of Arrested Development (and I hope it's not the LAST episode was one of the best ones so far. Did anyone else recognize the surrogate father as Super Dave Osbourne?
My favorite gag on the show has to be when they play the theme from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" every time someone is down. And Tobias is down because someone takes his waffle.

War at Home is like a cheap, bad copy of Titus, except I laughed during Titus. I haven't been enjoying new Family Guy much, and American Dad has been hit or miss (and both are on CN anyway), so War At Home has actually driven me from watching all three shows. Simpsons is hit or miss, but I at least remember when it's on.
Arrested Development is like Scrubs. I enjoyed both shows, but can't really be bothered to try to remember when they're on. Back when I used to have shows to watch every day, it was easier to keep track. Now I barely watch TV, so remembering a half hour show here or there is pointless.

Which is just as well, since the networks are doing their damndest to make sure you miss them. Whether it's by moving around the times and not going out of their way to let fans (or potential fans) know, or starting them late in the season or putting them on long hiatuses, the networks are killing both of these shows with the death of a thousand cuts. It's the "plausible deniability" of the network programmer's trade; they can thoroughly abuse a show and still claim they gave it a chance.

That's exactly what I did! I also found it quite humorous that the old lawyer, played by Henry Winkler, aka the Fonz, has been replaced by the new lawyer, played by Scott Baio, aka Chachi. This show is funny on so many levels. If more sit-coms were more like AD and The Office, and less like War at Home and Malcolm in the Middle, the world would be a better place.
