Leo is about to shout to Ilshana not to brake the circle, when he sees her doing so on her own. At least she got good sense he thinks. I wonder is she realizes the thing is probably Infernal.

Leo waits for the "fearies'" answer.

OOC: Sorry for the long delay, I've been absent.

At the center of the room, the faerie looks up. It mouths several things rather quickly, and she tries to push her way out of the circle, but is denied by a wall of invisible force.

Looks like she is bound.

Leo waits to see what transpires further, too, content to let the fearie speak. His only action is to address her briskly, "Speak slower, I couldn't understand a word".

Looking like her frustration is growing, she starts attempting to communicate with you through gestures.

Looking at the movement of her mouth, you realize that her lips aren't doing more than moving up and down; the semblance of talking rather than the act. Through gestures she indicates that she is bored and stuck and would very much like to leave the circle. She pleads with you with her large doe-eyes - Literally, eyes dark like an animal. She attempts to look pleading and pout at the same time.

"Well this is a pretty pickle," Ilshana notes. She inspects the hovering chain, and the trail of blood leading to the door. "Wonder where her other arm went off to. Must be hard for her, being surrounded by menacing strangers while less than fully armed."

Ilshana's eye glimmer unnaturally in the gloom, as if some unseen light were reflecting off of them.

(Using Second Sight while checking out the faerie, the chain and the bloody stuff...)

You see the chain, the circle, and of course the faerie are supernatural. Oddly, the shape the faerie is currently holding does not appear to be its true shape; you only see the shadow of its true form; it appears to be some form of child-sized baby, with lengthy arms and grotesque deformities over it.

Leo scoffs at the pun. "I'm not armed, either, if it makes her feel better."

Looking over the blood trail, he adds "Looks like the hand headed off that way. Either something reached inside the circle and tore the arm off, or the arm tore itself off and let the fingers do the walking. Either way, the circle should be broken. And yet, it isn't."

He sniffs loudly, and bears his teeth. "I smell deception. Perhaps, someone is not what it appears. Perhaps the circle is not broken, because no arm is missing."

"Well done," Ilshana tells Leo. "In fact, I'd say this handsome fellow is the source of the problem all right.""Now we just need to figure out what to do about it. Lets try another door. This guy's not going anywhere just now."

"Yes..." says Leo. "But whatever is going on here, if this fellow is at the center of it all then this lab is, too. Let us have a quick look to see if we can sort it out."

He quickly passes through the ruins, pushing stuff here and there but careful not to cut himself on any broken glassware. He is primarily looking for the last lab text, hoping to see what the magus was working on, or failing that to determine what the lab was lat set up to do.
