[Ars Magica] Player needed! [Full]

Edit: WE ARE CURRENTLY FULL, SORRY.

A player is needed for an ongoing Ars Magica Play-by-Post saga. You can browse the IC thread to check out the game, and the first posts in the OOC thread to see the covenant and other characters (see links in my sig), but the short of it is:

Someone that was supposed to play can't, so we have an opening in the game for another player. You can step into the shoes of the original player's magus, or invent your own magus and/or companion.

We play young magi setting up a new spring covenant in the north-east of the Rhine Tribunal (in Pomerania, currently under danish rule). The game's theme is that of declining magic and magic auras. The players face the results of this, attempt to thwart or reverse it, and the game explores various approaches towards handeling the encroachment of mundanes and the Dominion.

We use Ars Magica 5th Edition rules, but are willing to aid those unfamiliar with the system. Playing a magus without access to the 5e rules will, in the long run, be difficult - but you are certainly invited to experiment and find out if you want to invest in 5e. Fourth edition is available for free as a pdf, and the editions are close enough that familiarity with it should suffice for much.

I welcome any questions, inquiries, or interest.

I'd be interested, if that position is still open. Just tell me what you'd like from me if the position is still around. I've been playing since 1st Edition, and know the 5th Edition rules pretty well.

While the position has been filled, we have room for one more player. That will bring us to 5 players, which is as large as I want things to be.

To be perfectly honest, it would be easiest for me and the saga if you stepped into the missing player's magus character (Gasparius), but I doubt that will appeal to you. If you'd like to play antoher magus - by all means, make one!
I prefer the magus to be from Fengheld. If you have the Guardians of the Forest book, it's described there. If not, think huge hierarchical covenant with several chapter houses led by a Tremere and with members from several houses.
I'm going to offer character ideas fitting for Fengheld apprentices today or tomorrow for the other new player, I'll email them to you as well.

You may step right into the action if you'd like to take over the character of Puck the Goblin-Blooded. This way you can start playing immediately.
You can also make a Companion or Grog, and have him join the party or be there retroactively, but in this case you better hurry as things are happening that might not make sense if he was there.

Your addition will increase our covenant into a 5-magi covenant, so I will add one more grogs and companions to the covenant, and increase the vis stocks.

If all this appeals to you, post over at the IC thread as Puck, the charter-IC thread as Gasparius (he is bound to have some issues with Valeria's charter), at the OOC thread for any OOC questions, or here. I'll be monitoring them all.
If not, please inform me.

Edit: And welcome to the boards!
(They're great.)

Another thing...

If you do decide to take on Puck, reading the synopsis (in the OOC thread) and the last few IC posts (regarding the expedition they're on) should suffice to get you up to speed.

If you decide to take on Gasparius's role, you'll be wise to go over his actions in the encounter with the Stag and his words at the first council. That's a bit more to read, I'm afraid.

Of course, it would be best to read all the IC thread. It isn't really long... yet.
