Assault on Dragonspear (5e PBP) OOC (Full)

I would be happy to commit to more than that -- two posts a week, and the game proceeds as Fitz has time. We need to find a momentum. This isn't an obligation, but non-response slows the fun for the others. (in my opinion).
I find that the further we get behind, the longer it takes me to resolve anything (I have to reread posts to make sure that I didn't forget anything from the first time that I read them, etc). It actually becomes more work to move slower games forward than it is to move quicker games forward.

But I'm as guilty as anyone else is at allowing things to get to that point. I go through waves where I get "poster's block". Often when I finally get the "guts" to post, I find that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Everyone feel free to "encourage" me with nudges. It never feels like nagging - it's always welcome.

While I agree, I think it's harder for people who don't check the site often. Too many posts become overwhelming. I'm guilty of filling the OOC thread with piles of posts and then wonder why people missed things.

So, while I was suggesting 1/week as a modest minimum, I would encourage people to post more.

That is, unless people want to try 2/week! I'm certainly not against it!

I can post every day except over weekends, but I write long posts over the weekend, so it depends.

Anyhow, I wouldn't go with "forcing" people to post 1/week, just say that Fitz updates 1/week and if you didn't post, you accept being autoboted.

This 1/week for Fitz is obviously also "forcing", but maybe if we all make it a habit...

There was a time on living worlds where 48h between posts was considered standard :)

I’m not suggesting you make a habit of posting every Wednesday or anything. Just, if you haven’t posted since last Wednesday, it’s probably your turn to post again so, as a courtesy, put a post up so the story can move along.

I think things get bogged down when the DM is waiting on people to post.

autobotting is a double edged sword. Story chugs along but that person then has a million posts to read when they get back and then can never catch up. I think it’s a good idea if you are leaving and can’t post for a while to let the dm know so everyone can keep playing.
