Sad news indeed. I grew up with his artwork in the great many years that I have been involved in this hobby. I will raise a glass in salute and I have left a donation to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as my small way of saying 'thank you' for all the great artwork.

For those who haven't experience the great artwork of this most talented of artists, you can see it at

Keith Parkinson Website Gallery

With Keith's passing, I don't know what will happen to the site now, so give it a look over in tribute to one of the greats.

Keith really was one of the greatest talents TSR ever had. His work on Dragonlance surely shines out as brightly as the other in-house artists of the time, and I think he continued to leave his mark on other projects later, such as EverQuest. Simply brilliant work. I am very saddened by this news.

So true. To me he was one of the big three of painters of old D&D, him, Elmore, & Easley. His Dragonlance work was amazing. This is a sad day.

In fact, I think those three, and Clyde Caldwell, were the "Feb Four" that the original post referred to.
