He does make comics for, shall we say, specific interest groups. This adds to my bewilderment as to how he came to illustrate for WotC.

hmm, letting google do the walking i see what you mean. ;)

Some of the 2nd ed. illustrators. Kieth Parkinson, and Clyde Caldwell in particular. And someone, please talk Dave Trampier back into drawing Wormy!

The Auld Grump

Oh, and put me in the WAR? Yechhh! catagory. I started disliking his art when I saw what he did with a zombie.... (Now Brian Snoddy zombies on the other hand.... )

Do you remember how Anthony "Zulkir" Valterra used to be one of the Big Kahuna at WotC?

I add another vote for Raven Mimura. He's a local. :)

My favorite is from MMII of the Spellweaver, a mutual friend of ours who passed away. Raven's quite the character, looks like a Mongol warrior!

Whatever happened to Arnie Swekel, anyway? His chapter backgrounds were the best illustrations in a number of books, and his various imps from the BoVD are still being used as "clip art" (twitch). So why isn't he working for WoTC anymore?

Demiurge out.
