Ascetic Rogue Feat

Iscariot

First Post
Ascetic Rogue is a feat in the Complete Adventurer and I have a question on it's actual abilities. I downloaded the errata and found nothing.

On table 3-2, which lists the feats, their prerequisites, and their benefits, the benefits read as follows: Monk and rogue levels stack for sneak atack damage, unarmed strike sneak attack damage gains improved stunning DC.

IN the text of said feat it states you gain the improved stunning DC when you sneak attack and your monk and rogue levels stack for your unarmed damage. And you can multi-class freely between the two classes.

My question is this: Which description is correct? Are they both correct?

Grrr at bad editting and overlooked errata!

I would follow the full text under the feat and not the table which is often a short sentence not very clear as the true believer feat in complete divine, +3 bonus in the table, +2 bonus in the text, nothing in the errata....

The text always takes precedence over the tables, and both take precedence over artwork (like in the Urban Arcana case where the artwork presented an incorrect LA for one of the races).

Yup. It's a shame, too, as advancing unarmed damage is about the most "meh"-worthy of the monk abilities they could have picked.

On the other hand, advancing SA would have every monk in the world taking a level of rogue and this feat. I mean, wow.... "Flurry! Hit! Stun! Hit, sneak attacking... hit, sneak attacking, hit, sneak attacking..."

Reminds me of Unbalancing Strike (from Oriental Adventures, I think). Use a stunning fist attempt to make your opponent flat-footed. Mmmm fun.
