If this is old news, forgive me, but when I stumbled onto this I just couldn't help myself and had to share the news.

For fans of either author who haven't read their collaboration, I thoroughly recommend it.

unfortunately, this was the only post on IMDB's board about it:

The Good Omens film project helmed by Terry Gilliam has been left out to dry by a budget gap of $15 million. It looks to be put on hold at least until Gilliam can sort out whether he will be able to finish "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" in November of 2003.

Damn. I heard that 'the man who killed don Quixote' has already suffered multiple delays and had budget problems. I hope Dead Omens can still get done.

If Gilliam's in charge, when it happens, it'll be great.

Hear! Hear!

Three of the best storytellers of the last quarter-century on one project has got to be good.

Of course, now they've got to hope there's no ego friction (which I don't think is likely, but you never know).
