Auto-Subscribing To Threads

Is there any way to set my standard setting to "no email notifications" or "do not subscribe" when posting in a thread? I know I can manually change it, but if there's a way to change my default choice, that'd be really convenient. Thanks in advance, and, as always, play what you like

I think under user settings you can set your own defaults.

I know my defaults are no notification and no subscribing

The pull down menu is at the top of every page on the far left profile/settings.
