hrafnagud, look back over this thread. There was a fellow from Kenzer & Co. who wanted you to contact him, and I suspect it could be good news :)

Thanks for the heads up! I have since contacted him. Should anyone find our situation (Sakzilla's and mine) of sufficient interest, I have started a new thread on the HârnForum, which can be found here:

http://www.harnforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2245

Who knows where it will go. But even if our struggle isn't compelling enough, the HârnForm is worth a look on its own merit.

BTW, if anyone has an intelligent suggestion to help me publicly discredit CITIZEN GAMES (THIEVES AND LIARS THAT THEY ARE), I am an open vessel.

If you made your purchase online theres no need to look for their local BBB. Especially since you used paypal, where your account - unless its the merchant money market account - is a FDIC insured banking account.

Simply go to this website linked below and file a complaint. In the USA, Internet Fraud is handled on a federal level and the US government has setup a easy way of reporting such crimes.

Waiting almost half a year and repeatedly trying to contact the company and then having them acknowledge the snafu yet several months down the road still no resolution and another bout of no responses sounds like fraud to me.

And the shuffling of the upper management sounds kinda weird anyhow. Folks caught with their hands in the cookie jar or something else?

That is an extremely useful link. Thank you, I intend to pursue it. I hope the Feds drag them down into the pit of hell.

Citizen's Games booth at GenCon is # 1827 (to the side of the giant Upper Deck booth), for those interested in finding them to get their product. I'd suggest bringing printed copies of your receipt, e-mails and any other correspondence with you.

I'm sure you'd be able to find a few EN Worlders to go down there with you and hear exactly why you didn't get your product(s), and why they won't give it (them) to you now. :) I'll go with you, I'd like to see this personally. I always get the same type of customer service, if there's an idiot - I'm guaranteed to get him. That's why Paladinwife & I go out of way to help our customers - we hate dealing with morons.

Yet another excellent suggestion. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend. Oh, but what a pain in the ass I could have been.....

Still, I'd encourage anyone who does attend to drop in on the Citizen Games people. I can almost guarantee the stock, patented answer will be "we don't know anything about that," but imagine the effect it would have if dozens of people mentioned this incident over the course of GenCon. It would certainly send the message that gamers pay attention when they get ripped off! I can only hope.

As I stated earlier, I have actually been in touch with Warehouse 23. W23 and SJG are awesome; no complaints there. It is not, however, W23's job to take care of Citizen Games unfinished business.

I wasn't implying that. I was saying you should ask W23 for its contacts with Citizen, and using those contacts.

Update on Citizen Games
Hello all - I had promised an update once any sort of resolution was afoot and now I have one. If you saw my saga in this thread I had a problem getting some product I had ordered through Citizen Games back in February.

Well it would appear that there is a new sheriff in town over there at CG, because Jason Peck from Citizen Games took up my cause and, after several very sincere emails back and forth, he sent my product and a refund. He also threw in a few items from their gaming line for my trouble, and everything was of top quality. Everything I had heard about their Masterscreen product was true, and I am (belatedly) pleased. I don't know what happened recently, but there seems to be a new spirit of treating their customers right over there. Coupled with the good things I have heard about Warehouse 23 (who CG uses now for shipping) I do believe they have been rehabilitated.

At the same time as all of this, Mark Plemmons of Kenzer & Co contacted me - he stated that he hated to see gamers treated poorly in such an industry like this and offered to help. This guy had nothing to do with my order problem, and he offered and sent me a free copy of the Kindoms of Kalamar DM screen. Kenzer makes some absolutely fabulous products, and their screen is amazing - they have tons of information on this thing and it is all useful!

So I have now experienced great products AND outstanding people from both Citizen Games and Kenzer. I hope that whatever Karma fairy is out there heaps loads of good luck on both Jason and Mark. And thanks to this board and the community support - what a wild ride!

It's good to see you finally got what you were looking for, and some good booty for your troubles.

It's not like you wanted all the extra stuff, but it's great to see the community (especially the guys from Kenzer) willing to jump out and help someone who's having trouble with one of the vendors.

We are a COMMUNITY. And we police our own...and this time it worked.

:)
