Babes of Gencon 2003

If the term "Babes of Gencon" is now considered offensive and political correctness has taken over this much, I'm visiting the wrong website.

I understand trying to keep things from getting out of hand, but give me a break.

Ditto.

You said it, man.

Whenever people have to squawk about every little nuance that Eagle's song 'Get over it' plays in my head. It isn't EnWorld, the easily offended have taken over everywhere. It is trendy to be frail and thin-skinned and the moderators have a tough job, whether they feel the same way or not, they have to uphold the policies here. Luckily, I was never into trends. Lucky for me, at least, not so for a lot of people around me.

You know... I love beautiful women of all shapes and sizes as much as any hetero male but there's something that truly disturbs me about the idea of gamer guys drooling over them like letchers.

I'm not saying that's what will happen in this thread but I do know it does happen at Gencon.

I'd venture to say it would happen *anywhere* you find women wearing nothing but a chainmail bikini.

They desire the attention, the public provides it.

Everyone is happy.

Yeah, call me thin-skinned, frail, and easily-offended, but it does kind of creep me out for some reason, too. I'm probably not correctly understanding the motivation.

I would never be a moderator at a forum where I didn't whole-heartedly agree with the rules. So it's not tough for me!

As a female, I'd like to throw in that I liked looking at the "BoG" galleries. Maybe it needs a name change, but... I liked the fashions, I can appreciate a pretty woman (actually, the photographer is to be commended for finding that many hot redheads. Redheads of either gender generally get placed fairly high on my "list of asthetically pleasing things".), and I like to "people watch" anyway. I'd like to see "guys of gencon", and see costumes, stereotypes, and just plain cute guys. Aren't there any women going this year who own cameras? As long as the subjects were asked if it was ok, and agreed to have their picture taken, I don't object. Some of the more lecherous guys drooling over the girls, yeah, may enter the realm of creepy, but anywhere that there are pictures of women, intended to be "hot" or not, that's gonna happen.

Now, I also have to say that if only half-naked women, or blonds with big boobs, or whatever were photographed, I might be offended. But the pictures seem to be more in a good-natured "wow, pretty girl!" vein than lecherous "Let's see if I can get a "down-the-cleavage shot"".

Thank Sean K Reynolds for taking all those pictures.

In the intrest of fairness i've opened the Hunks of Gencon gallery in the Babes of Gencon folder.

Any ladies that have taken pics of Guys at Gencon please feel free to post them.

As for everything else......can we please not argue and dispute this. Granted not everyone will appreciate the albums, not everyone will enjoy them, but the album breaks no rules. So leave it be and lets have fun.

Thank you, the former theme is what I was trying to do. There's plenty of porn on the internet, I just wanted pictures of pretty girls. After all, my parents visit my website now and then, I can't put anything too wild on it.

Of course, now I'm picturing Gamers Gone Wild, which is mostly huge fat dudes with ponytails lifting up their shirts for the camera.... Blech.
