We already have a setup in Sylvannus. Why set up something completely different?
That works for me. I was just laying out alternatives.

Sylvanus would be great, not least because it would tie another important port city even closer to Jaine's burgeoning kingdom.

But doing so means that Archon will be forever tied to the life of a noble - it would deny him anonymity in later years (and, by extension, anonymity for the child).

But maybe you don't really want that, anyway.

At the very least, the Arendorr manor would need to start hiring a servant's staff, the grounds would have to be repaired, and it would probably be a good idea to hire some guards (perhaps a small army?) for the grounds, as well.

We could base circle headquarters out of Sylvannus. I'm fine with that; Xath would be fine with that; Archonus is fine with that. But is Justice ok with it? Moving circle headquarters would mean that she'd see her hubby considerably less.

not as cool as an Orbital station but...

unless she teleported. :)
But, yeah, Archonus would be happy to host to Circle's new HQ in his home of Sylvanus. Heh, we'd even have a manor. Now all we need is a "Hazard Lounge".
Also, i'd like to move all Shadow training to Sylvanus as well. Here, they could also double as Estate Rangers(guards).
Anyway, i'm down with it if that's what you guys want to do.

I'm not sure that Varis is spending all his time in Hyrwl, to begin with... there's a distinct possibility that is is spending much more time in Caer Albion - just as Justice does when she gets the chance.

However, I think it's fair to assume that Varis will go where Justice will be able to see him... so - he may not spend his days in Sylvanus, but if that's where we are, that's where he spends his nights.

Circle HQ can be anywhere.

I think we all have some seperate responsibilities that pull us elsewhere, but we always have. They are not 24/7 things, but as before places we need to check in during those off times and at night. It could mean we have to use teleport to get to HQ, but it can work easily enough.

Also sets a good precident for after we win the war (which we will!) :) we may go our seperate ways, but the circle will still meet as friends.

Wherever the child goes we also need to put one of those 'block direct teleport' spells up :)

EDIT: the teleport protection for the kid is being talked about on a different thread. Sorry few on the same topic.....

X: "I think you and Justice are arguing about different things," Xath steps in. "Archonus' arguement is ......................................... I think noone is advocating taking an infant on short term circle missions. And thus there should be no reason to send the child away with someone else. What seems to be the problem?"

L: She listens with one ear, but gently pushes Jansten’s knee whispering quietly, “Well?”

Ja: His eyes line with laughter as his gaze briefly turns to L'Aurel. He answers her question just as quietly, "No." His eyes quickly return to the conversation around them.

"We all know each other very well. I do not think we are arguing two different things at all, friend Xath. I am just trying to be sure that we are making the right decisions for the right reasons...

Being a parent is a very difficult thing... something that I cannot even imagine attempting to undertake at this moment in time. We live in a very, very dangerous world and the Circle of the Phoenix sits directly in the center of that danger. Bring the child with us at any time not only threatens that childs live, but ours as well. As such, we need to fully explore every aspect of every minute that child will be with us, as well as every aspect of every minute that child will not be with us. I think we can all admit that we jump into things without thinking them through too frequently.

I am surprised that all of you are so calm about allowing the child accompany us at all, however; I have learned to trust the decision of the majority - even when it goes against my better instincts.

All I can say is, I hope that we've made the right decision... and that I pray the only reason that we have made that decision is not because Archonus feels the need to assume all blame for anything that can go wrong surrounding this child. We live in a world that is - in many ways - guided by prophecy and not by chance..." She trails off for a moment, seemingly talking to herself though her lips do not move.

Looking up to meet Archonus' fierce eyes with her own, possibly fiercer, "I am trusting you, my brother at arms, to be able to divide your focus and your attention between your child and our cause... and I have faith that you will."

The shadows are Jaine's, really, so she probably wants them kept in Hyrwl.

A "Circle HQ" should probably not be in a place that any member of the Circle controls - the Hall of Justice wasn't in Metropolis or Gotham, for instance. In the modern cartoon, it's in friggin' space. It's probably best (if you want to set something like this up) to pick neutral territory.

I second that... what we're setting up right now isn't so much "Circle HQ" as it is a hyper-protected baby room.
