I have it and I love it. I'm not crazy about their hit point system, but with all the alternatives out there, it's easy to modify that to fit your preference. Otherwise it's a great source of information from the series and it does a great job of translating the TV show into an RPG. My only other gripe is that the material is really spread out. You don't get shadows or vorlons in the core book, neither do you get stats on Sheridan, Marcus, or the other characters that came later in the series. You don't get Whitestars until you buy the Minbarri Sourcebook. Fortunately I'd always planned to follow this series from beginning to end, but I can see how it would be annoying if you just want to buy one book and be able to run through the entire series at a basic level.

I have and love it too - Darrin is spot on AFAIC. It's frustrating to have to buy the Minbari sourcebook for whitestars, the Earth Alliance book for EA ships, etc. Information could be more concise.

Additionally, as a personal preference, I think d20 Modern would have been a better fit for B5 than the D&D SRD.

Have it, playtested it..LOVE IT!

The low hit points advancement isnt necessarily how i'd have gone but I understand the reasons that took Mongoose that direction, and as pointed out previously is something easily house ruled.

Sourcebooks are great too and the Fiery Trial story arc is a great trilogy of adventures in one that really capture the feel of the Bab 5 universe.

I like it, the setting info is very good, there is hope that the companion book will include a ship builder system, and I like the rules decision that mongoose took.

Now the organisation of the book is horrible, with no chapter heading, up to a point were I was tempted to use another game system and use the book for setting only (though the campaign ended before for work reasons).

I suspect you'll find the ship building rules further down the line, possibly in the advanced ship rules that was mentioned as possibly happening in the chat with the Mongoose here at ENWorld a while back.

A [NDA Jumps in tackles Neo to the floor and intervenes] :D is however something which may appear in the companion.

I like it a lot. I think the Minibari and Earth Force books are great. I loved the amount of detail put into those books. I'm thinking of running a game using the WP/VP from Star wars. D20 Future might be a way to go as well when that comes out later this year.
I'm waiting for the Narn and Centauri books to come out.
