I was under the impression that UpperKrust was the primary author.

Ah! Yes, absolutely-- but I wanted to make certain you weren't under the impression that UK had helped to code that spreadsheet.

I am asking as other creation rules I could really use are ones for unique spells and magic items (as common magic item rules like rings/rods are already strongly codified). For instance, spell rules in your HoHF Elves are helpful in making wondrous items that have no DMG counterpart. And I think both areas could be more detailed and automated, but I realize that the work would be considerable.

I think a spell design spreadsheet would actually be pretty easy, as long as you were weren't mixing spell templates or anything. It's definitely something I've considered doing before, and will keep it on the back burner. It's more likely to happen, than not-- how's that?

if you ever decide to release more bits of GT, definately the char gen chapter would be nice. Really, the one thing I want is the talent trees, but having all the classes and available trees would be mucho cool as well. Just a thought if you're wondering what else to 'part out' of GT :)

The more often I build characters for GT, the more I wish I'd gone with my first layout, which was just listing them by alphabetical order.

When I release this bit, I'll probably do that.

Hey Wulf,

Is the Creatue CR spreadsheet compatible with Core Rules D20? Or is it tailored for Grim Tales?

I've used UK's system before to set creature CR's and having a ready-made spreadsheet would be well worth the price...

With the exception that it calculates Dragon CRs to what they really are (as opposed to under-costing them to make them tougher), yes, it should work just fine.

So, do you have any plans for releasing the whole of Grim Tales as a PDF, or just assorted excerpts? 'Cause I think it sounds interesting, and I'd really like to buy it in PDF format (assuming a reasonable cost, of course).
