I had a lot of success in a similar situation with a Great Wyrm Black Dragon, partially because he cast Spell Turning on himself. Could your dragon get a Ring? Even a Ring of Counterspelling would do, something to stop or reflect the Greater Dispells that are sure to fly. The Cleric in my encounter managed to dispell most of his own spells, and the Bard got some of her own as well, through Turned Greater Dispellings.
Improved Invisibility works well too, as a Dragon can stay out of range of most detection spells and fire off the breath weapons. I've also had luck with a Dragon that painted itself a different colour: as the disguise wasn't magical, True Seeing didn't reveal it. This should work particularly well if they see the dragon coming from a distance, and buff up with elemental protections.
Everything else failing, having the Dragon cast Darkness on itself works well: Most PCs can't see through it, and the Dragon can. If the dragon strafes, they can tell where it is in general (the centre of the darkness) but can't target spells, and have a 50% miss chance with missiles. Generally, most dragons will go down in melee against a party, but by strafing they can do much better. With Haste up, they can actually fly by and Snatch, doing bite damage, breathe for no save, and then toss the helpless victim for falling damage.
