Bahamut, 'nuff said!

Bahamut has recently started to grow on me and let me just tell you- that picture pretty much seals the deal for me. This is one awesome picture.

Well, actually I've got one minor nitpick on the wings, but that shouldn't detract from the altogether awesomeness.

Well, I guess my next character will be a dragonborn paladin or somesuch.

yay! :) are you going to work on any other gods?
I don't think so (although I have a picture of Faluzure in the back of my mind), since I just got a list of 200 counters to make for Fiery Dragon and I REEEEEEALLY need the money!

Oh, a quick note on scale: a 6-foot tall human would be about the size of the "P" on my signature, making or boy Bahamut something like Colossal+.

Here's an updated Bahamut wallpaper, this time with the star+nebula holy symbol thingamajinga.

Great art for a dragon. Better than nearly all art Bahamut has, still not sure if it realy feels "King of all good Dragons" though.

This sums up my feelings as well. It's undeniable that this is a spectacular piece of art by any standards, but if I were to look at this without any notations, I wouldn't be able to recognize (holy symbol notwithstanding) that this was Bahamut himself. That's a truly incredible picture, especially in the technical rendition, but I'm not certain if this captures the essence of the god of all good dragons that is Bahamut.

I am all ears! Anyone got any tips on making him more god-like?

Okay, I don't know if this is even possible, but here's a thought. Could it be as though Bahamat were standing before a dragon general of each color of the good dragon kin - and the sheen of his skin is so metallically smooth than a hint of reflection of each of the dragon's before him can be seen along his body? Maybe just a hint of faces?

Just a thought. If Tiamat can have a five colors represented, why not Bahamut!

Anotherthought would be to create a small flight of metallic dragons in the air behind him, one of each color. Small enough to not require much detail or capture the scene, but large enough to tell that they are metallic dragons - one of each color.

I still like the original, though. Bang up job.

hey, if you're ever able to get to that, the Night Dragon should be pretty cool. :)
