baldur's gate coming to the ipad

I just read that Baldur's gate is coming to the ipad for around $9.00.

Sweet! That's one game I might buy for my iPad. I still have the PC version of this and other games, but at the end of a long day at the computer I prefer to spend my evenings at least in the same room as my wife instead of in my study.

Do we have any idea if we'll have to be connected to the internet to play it, or the size of the game? I see nothing on the site (though admittedly I only glanced at it).

Also, it is now coming to android also, which I thought was new news, but there is no release date for that.

I've been considering getting an iPad for a while now, and this release has just about convinced me I need to!

I've heard that if this game sells well, Baldur's Gate II will get a similar treatment. I only wish that the developers could have found a way to merge the two games into one complete saga . . . so you could play the entire story from beginning to end with no interruption.

I also wonder if they will include the "premium" pre-order content, I hope so.

Now I dream of "enhanced" versions of Icewind Dale and Torment!
