D&D 5E Barbarian: Path of Least Resistance, 'cause Why Not?

Overwhelming BlowsAt 3rd level, you have learned how to somewhat overload the natural resistances of your targets, in exchange for your own vulnerability. When you rage, choose one type of damage. Any creature that takes that kind of damage from you while you are raging have their resistance to it reduced by 1 stage. Immunity becomes resistance, resistance becomes normal damage, and normal damage becomes vulnerability. This does not work if the target is already vulnerable to that kind of damage.

This is really powerful. Just figure out what kind of damage your opponent deals, then select a different damage type that you have access to. Have fun doing double damage while raging!

There could still be combat abilities, I just wouldn't make them violent combat abilities.

How about the ability to move through occupied spaces?

Or "While raging, when you are attacked by a melee weapon attack you can use your reaction to step out of the way, imposing Disadvantage on the attack. If the attack misses the attacker must make a Dexterity saving throw, falling Prone on a failure.

Thats a fun idea. I was also thinking of giving them an ability that kind of mimics Sanctuary (or straight up give them the spell). They could use as kind of an aura thing, and force people to talk.

I'm thinking about the legend of the two Japanese sword smooths who settle who makes a sharper sword by plunging them into a stream as leaves float by. The first guy's sword slices the leaves so cleanly as they float by that it doesn't look like anything happens because the two pieces don't separate.

The second guy sticks his sword in the stream, and all the leaves go around it.

Raging Wall[/h]When you reach 14th level, you do not resist, you ignore. While raging, you do not gain resistance to bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage from non magical weapons. You instead gain immunity to them.

So it becomes Immunity for non-magical weapons, but does it stay Resistance to damage from Magical Weapons?
