Some of you may notice that I already had put up a Barbarian: Path of the Same name on here. With some great advice from Elfcrusher, who really helped me inspire this one, I decided to build anew, and spin the old one off as the Path of Power. This one I think really fits the theme implication of the name better than the old guy did, like Elfcrusher pointed out, and, still wanting to be a bit humorous, I turned it into a semi-support class! Nonretaliatory Defence was actually a feature suggested by Elfcrusher, and, as a companion to Persuasive Rage, I thought it was a little more helpful than my other idea, which was Friends and Charm Person. Anyway, I look forward to feedback.
[h=1]Persuasive Rage[/h]When you choose this path at 3rd level, your have learned to use your “rage” to bring about a calming effect on yourself and others. While Raging, you have advantage on all Charisma (Persuasion) checks you make.
[h=1]Noretaliatory Defence[/h]Also at 3rd level, whenever someone makes a melee attack against you, you may use your reaction to Sidestep. The attack has disadvantage, and, if the attacker misses, it must make a Strength saving throw or fall prone.
[h=1]Raging Pacifism[/h]At 10th level, you have gained the knowledge of how to ban violence from your presence for a short time. As an action, you can activate an aura that is a 60ft sphere centered on you. All creatures, except you, in the aura must make a Wisdom saving throw, using the DC from your Nonretaliatory Defence feature, whenever they make an attack roll, force a creature to make a saving throw, or do damage to a creature. On a failed save, the attack misses, saving throw effect is negated, or damage is nullified. This effect lasts for 1 minute, or until you make an attack roll, force a creature to make a saving throw, or deal damage to a creature.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you have finished a long rest.
[h=1]Undoer of Destruction[/h]By 14th level, you have learned to reverse one of the most heinous effects of violence; death. While raging, you can cast Revivify on a creature you can see within 30ft of you, without requiring material components.
You may only use this feature once per rage.
Barbarian: Path of Least Resistance
The typical barbarian is seen as a raging, mindless champion of destruction and violence; a warrior who hits firsts, negotiates never. While this depiction can accurately apply to some, it could not be less true for those who follow the Path of Least Resistance. Their “rage” is a well of inner harmony and power they can manipulate to bring about more peaceable solutions. These pacifistic “barbarians” are rare, but enlightened.[h=1]Persuasive Rage[/h]When you choose this path at 3rd level, your have learned to use your “rage” to bring about a calming effect on yourself and others. DC = 8 + Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Bonus
[h=1]Compassionate Rage[/h]By 6th level, you have learned how to funnel healing energy out of yourself. While raging, you may use your bonus action to heal hit points equal to half your Barbarian level to a creature you can see within 60ft of you. The beneficiary cannot be a construct, undead, fiend, celestial, or yourself.[h=1]Raging Pacifism[/h]At 10th level, you have gained the knowledge of how to ban violence from your presence for a short time.
