Basic D&D (2006) Blue Dragon Edition ongoing review

the minis don't have cards like other minis sets. and they say D&D Basic Game under their base. even though they are the same minis as some of the other sets (gargoyle, harpy, goblin, heroes i'm looking at you)
Considering the attraction of this set for potential/existing DDM players, isn't that a significant disappointment with the box?

They're online (as will soon be all of the cards from every set).

Cheers!

I wonder if the age of 12+ is determined at all by the "violent" content of the game?

But the fact that it is really meant as a vehicle for the relatively more complex Core Rules is made clearer by this boxed set's ending its usefulness at 2nd level.

I wish Basic D&D had been like that when I started, rather than a completely different game from AD&D.

Cheers!

Yes. :)

Dragoneye & Harbinger cards are up (RPG sides as well if you're interested).

Cheers!

Awesome; I've wanted to look up the RPG side of Snurre to get an insight onto what his 3e stats would be. Hope that gets put up soon.

More Adventures
The adventure continues in the DM's booklet, detailing more of the dungeon. Things get slightly more complicated as the adventure progresses. You have a magical altar with baneful effects; there are chests with traps and treasure; and more dangerous monsters are encountered, some with special abilities like the harpy's captivating song.

Eventually, the PCs will reach second level, which is described in the Advanced Rulebook, and finish the adventures in the DM book. That leaves them with one task: to slay the blue dragon behind all the adventures.

Cheers!
