Bat'leth:

Exotic Weapon
2d4
19-20/x3
2hnd
Slashing and piercing
If a proficient wielder forgoes the bonus strength damage normally applied to two handed weapons the Bat'leth grants a +1 shield bonus against melee attacks and when used in conjunction with combat expertise increases that bonus by +2.

Due to the nature of Bat'leth "defense" any weapon enhancement bonus that would also improve a shields defenses applies as such.

For example, a bat'leth with a +1 enhancement bonus would improve the attack bonus, weapon damage and shield bonus of the bat'leth.

You dare to give the mighty sword of honor a pitiful 2d4 damage and no bonus to disarming or tripping, you worthless patak? I shall see to it that your soul is condemned to the deepest pits of Gre'Thor for this insult!

You forgot a line "Due to it's familiarity ALL Klingons treat it as a Martial Weapon" (or should it be a simple weapon...)

seriously though, I think it is missing a "Can be used for tripping" line but probably no bonus

I've actually sparred with a padded version of something like this. The damage looks OK to me. I'd make it like a Bastard Sword though, so Exotic 1 Handed usable as martial weapon 2 handed- they're a tad ungainly in 1 hand compared to a simple sword.

And yeah- add tripping and/or disarming bonuses.

Yeah, you really need to give some sort of CMB bonus, the design of the weapon would easily lend itself to tripping and disarming. Also it should be a double weapon, as double weapons can be used as two-handed or two weapons for attacks. Plus, of course, it is bladed on both ends.
As for the damage wise I would have to disagree with the others, to me with the two really sharp, pointy ends wouldn't do as much general damage like a bastard or greatsword would however critical wise it would be stronger as a really good hit would do "double duty" easily. If anything maybe an 18-20 threat range.
I do like the ability you made though. I am just not sure if it should be a base ability as this would be a double weapon the way it is. I think due to its unique design I think you could make a couple of feats for it(rend?).

To clarify, I wasn't saying it should do damage as a Bastard Sword, but that it should be 1Hd Exotic, 2Hd Martial like a bastard Sword.

While double-weapon DOES make sense, combined with all the other stuff in the thread- and the existence of the double-longsword- you might have to drop the damage somewhat.

1. Eh, no it really is a different weapon weapon to wield. The crescent shape and the forward guard make it unique to use.
2. That is why I suggested maybe he could make some specific feats.
