Battle Cleric vs. Warlord

@Blackbrrd

The inspiring warlord's ENCOUNTER powers are great. But his AT WILLS were not inspiring relative to the other 3 leaders. Commander's strike (taclord), righteous brand (str cleric), sacred flame (lazer) are much more awesome. Though honestly I enjoy rousing assault and wolf pack tactics.

The inspiring warlord in my above post actually happens to be my character, and he's lots of fun. I went with "shake it off" instead, but I have warlord's strike and war of attrition and they are very popular with the group.

Oh, i forgot a reason, why battle clerics can make use of wisdom: warpriest paragon path. ^^ And multiclass fighter feats and maybe a paragon path like pit fighter.

Reading your post is obviously quite hard for me. :D

My view of this is that you eventually get 4 encounter powers. Usually you can select encounter powers that are better than your at-will powers. With 4 encounter powers available, it should take some time before you are reduced to at-will powers.

Personally I don't understand the focus on at-will powers. Already at level 7 you have 3 encounter powers.

When you are out of encounter powers the encounter is probably mostly finished and it doesn't matter that much that you have slack at-will's. At least if the party has focus fired well enough. :) If the encounter is hard, you probably should have switched to dailies earlier...

This is another nice thing about warlods, especially in a large party: aid the Injured vs. Cure Light Wounds. Warlords tend to get more encounter heals, which in a big party with a lot of surges is great. Clerics get better but daily heals, which is better in a small party generally.
