It also allows them to synch up US and UK showings, I'd read, which will mean less filesharing and therefore more ad eyeballs.

If they air it in HD then the NBC airings would be king for me and I'd be willing to wait a bit for it. The show is shot in HD and should be broadcast that way. As it stands now, we have to wait at least a 1/2 year to see it in the best quality possible after the intial airing on SFC (be it on DVD or the Universal HD channel).
It really cheeses me off that such an excellent show is fuzzy on my TV when I get 90% of my other programming in HD. I won't say more than this but the SFC should broadcast everthing they can in HD. Geeks + HD = Better ratings. I know I'm not the only person who will watch something in a genre I like just because it's in HD.
Same goes for Rescue Me & FX. * grrrr *
The fall start for S3 works for me. I hope to avoid the Farscape plan of watching the show a 1/2 season at a time. Every mid-season plot was essentially a cliffhanger and a 6 month wait after only 10 or so eps. If BSG can pump out a whole season without more than a 6 week wait somewhere in there, that is great.

It will not show on NBC, cause, it will be watered down, on the content, now touched ( & shown) on Cable.
