Having watched this week's three episodes (so glad they're not just doing the standard full-season dump so we have time to digest them), they most certainly haven't lost their touch this season.

My boys decided we'd wait until all episodes have been released, then we'll watch them one a night straight through to the end. So I'll have to withhold comment until then, but I'm expecting good things!

It's definitely a stand-out. Unfortunately it's a victim of the Netfix "two and done", so this will be wrapping it up.
Netflix are just absolute idiots, completely unable to recognise when they've got a good thing going unless it's ultra-cheap reality TV tat. I was genuinely surprised they didn't manage to cancel Delicious in Dungeon's second season, but if it needed a third (which I understand it doesn't, thankfully), they'd manage to cancel that, regardless of success.

For them it's not just about a show being profitable, but being profitable enough to support everything else.

And yet we live in a world where people often feel shows live on long past their expiration dates, and we are left with lame final seasons with terrible endings that ultimately take the shine off the show's legacy.

Netflix's choice to keep shows small in exchange for continuous innovation is a bold strategy, and we will see how it works out for them. And yes because of that strategy there are beloved shows that we would love to get more seasons of that we never will. But in exchange, those shows burn bright in our memories, and it leaves space for the next Arcane to come around the corner.
