Bear's Enduracne???

So, it appears Endurance will be now called "Bear's Endurance."

My only question is: What the hell?

Why Bear's? I can think of many animals that are more renowned for endurance. Bears are known for being very strong, yes, but not as particularly enduring animals.

Why not Ox's Endurance, or similar?

Maybe it's because a bear is found in a forest, and so is a fox, and an owl, and they have a bull, so an ox would seem exessive. I think boar would work better though. Bear's Endurance just doesn't sound right to me. I'm glad they are finally giving it an animal name though.

Well seeing that a Boar can stay active and moving right until the point where they hit -10 hps and drop dead - It really should be Boar's Endurance IMO :)

Or how about Berserkers Mantle?

EDIT: I have just noticed that a comical misspelling on the thread title implies that adolescent bears have the same problems as humans...

:D

Bear's Enduracne ?

I don't know if bears endure acne well,
They have too much fur to tell.

Oh, and a bear is quite endurant: the beastie is able to stop eating for a whole season.

Although it's true that Bull's Endurance and Bear's Strength would have been better choices.

Exactly! That is why they endure the acne at that awkward age, nobody sees it! I suspect this will be a new 0-level spell for sorcerer's that they use in there awkward pre-teen and early teen years to keep their charisma score from dropping too dramatically.:D

Bears are omnivore/predator types, noted for strength and power. They have big claws. And they look cool.

Oxen are stupid slow beasts of burden that pull wagons and occassionaly star as a main course on the Baron's feast days.

Bulls would be cool, though. Dangerous, quick, mean, known for trampelling people.

If you're making a new spell, which would you want associated with it? :)

But my campaign doesn't have Bears - does that mean I can't use the feat!?:(

It does however have boars (including huge dire versions with maxed con scores)

and why not a feat for Beer Endurance allowing my Barbarian to drink for days at a time?:)
