Bear's Enduracne???

So, it appears Endurance will be now called "Bear's Endurance."

My only question is: What the hell?

Why Bear's? I can think of many animals that are more renowned for endurance. Bears are known for being very strong, yes, but not as particularly enduring animals.

Why not Ox's Endurance, or similar?

Bears seem to be a pretty good choice to me. A polar bear will spend many long hours fishing a 1 ton whale out of the water. Tell me that doesn't take endurance.

I agree. Bears are scroungers, roaming for miles every day in search of food. Mountains, hills, heavy brush, suburbs, that takes endurance. So Bear's Endurance sounds like a good name for a Feat to me.

But my campaign doesn't have Bears - does that mean I can't use the feat!?:(

Simple -- someone should summon a bear, and then you can use the spell. But yeah, otherwise it'll have to go off your list.

Fortunately for me, I'm able to use bull's strength in my campaign. I know all about bull.

Small quibble, this is not renaming the Endurance Feat, but rather renaming the Spell Endurance......

The bear reference is probably not to endurance while running long distance, or carrying heavy loads. It's a reference to enduring pain and hardship - hit points. Thgat is perhaps the main reason peole will use the spell, no? Bears are well known for being tough in a fight.

It doesn't take much thought to realise that Cockroach's Endurance would be the most fitting name of all.

BUT WHO CARES IF IT FITS? IT SOUNDS STUPID! BEARS ARE COOL!
