Beastial/Monstrous heroes

First Post
I have question is what beastial/monstrous superheroes are there I know there not that many. The ones I can think so is Beast, Pitt, Hulk, non-humanoid alien that looks like wookies and a werewolf or the animated Beast-boy hybrid form in "Episode 35: The Beast Within". Anyone have ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Hmm... Good question.

If you're counting Beast, then I'd count Nightcrawler in there, as well as Sasquatch (although he can take human form). The Thing would probably count, too.

Other ones I can think of offhand-

Marvel:

Warlock (the New Mutant techno-organic alien)
Rintrah (Doc Strange's green minotaur-esque apprentice; he hasn't been seen in ages though)
Beta Ray Bill (the alien Thor with the horse-like head)

DC:

Does the Martian Manhunter count?
Blue Devil and Kid Devil
Bork (from the Power Company)

Image:

You mentioned Pitt, but there's also the Maxx
Bedrock (from one of those Liefeld titles; Youngblood, I think)

There have to be a lot more that I can't think of, but yeah, normal human types seem to dominate.

Wow. You mentioned Rintrah. You're my hero.

Others...

Well, the THING would be the obvious missing choice.

Do She-Hulk and Drax the Destroyer count?

Gargoyle from Defenders

or all the gargoyles from Gargoyles, although I don't know if it counts if the whole team is bestial.

Morbius, the Living Vampire is a good guy sometimes

King Shark is the buddy to the new Aquaman

Lots of Green Lanterns are aliens, but Kilowog is one of the important Lanterns. And is a big scary dude.

Etrigan the Demon

Timberwolf was morphed into a big furry creature called Furball for a while in Legion

Having a cool monstery team member or sidekick is a pretty normal occurence.

one kid from Legion of Super Heroes (aging myself here).

That would be Ferro Lad. He and his brother had such hideous mutations they hid their faces behind masks. Most of the other Legion members who are aliens I wouldn't count; they are not really monsters on their own worlds.

Sasquatch
Man-Thing
Man-wolf
Jack, the Werewolf By Night
Metamorpho and Shift
Ultra, the Multi-Alien

DC:

Tygorr, from the Omega Men
Dartalon, from the Wanderers
Tazmanian Devil, from the Global Guardians
Wildebeest, (deceased) Teen Titan
Pantha, (beheaded) Teen Titan
Detective Chimp, from Shadowpact
Solovar and the entire citizenship of Gorilla City
Tuatara, from the Global Guardians

Does Jonah Hex count? He's f'ugly, after all... :)

The Toxic Avenger
Theres a Monster team that includes a vampire, a werewolf, Medusa and Frankenstein (but I can't remember what its called)
Jake Long the American Dragon

Oh- speaking of Legion, then, would Wildfire count? He's just a mass of energy hunkered into a containment suit (used to be human). If so, then count N-Forcer of Astro City fame.

Also, Rex, Palmetto, and Loony Leo, all from Astro City.

(Can't believe I didn't think of Swamp Thing or Kilowog!)
