Berserker: Prestige Class from Deities and Demigods

This has to be the easiest Prestige Class possible to qualify for... most of which a normal fighter will have... shield and martial weapon proficiency... is this correct ?

Any threads about it ?

Just took a quick look at the prestige class... any comments about it ? Overall seems neat...

Ya, it really needs a few prerequistes that aren't automatic for fighter, barbarians, and ranger at 5th level. But I gue the class is with the Norse, it can be infered you need to worship them to become one.

Overall, the class seems pretty good.

the prestige class is fairly easy to enter. It does have draw back though, such as the possibility of atatckign your allies.

I don't think the requirments are high enough though. Rage should definetaly be a prerequiste, sicne battle furry is better then rage even.

The low requirments might be though that it is designed for a yasgard style campaign, with viking gods. Most DM's would say the prestige class doesn't reflect the campaign style, but ya never know.

The requirments to me should be:

Base attack Bonus +6
Feats: Toughness, Martial Proficiency (Sheild), martial poficiency (long sword or warhammer)
Skill: Wilderness Lore 4 ranks
Special: Rage

If they should emulate a Norse warrior, add spear to the list of proficiencies, or if you want to keep it martial, battle axe. And if Im not totally off (which I dont think I am on this issue), the Vikings werent any better living of the lands then anyone else. They were great sailors though, something that might be relevant (?)

med stud you have good points. The suggestions I gave where off the top of my head to make it alittle harder to enter the prestige class, though sailign profession ma be a good point.

Not having Rage as a pre-requisite seems to be a no-brainer... but all other prerequisites ARE AUTOMATIC for fighter types... by definition fighters have martial weapons feat.

Overall nobody seemed to think its an unbalanced prestige Class... ?
