My absolute most hated kid's show is Angelina Ballerina. I can't stand the overconfident, self-absorbed, whiny, melodramatic, emo title character.
The funny thing is that she flip flops so wildly between overconfident and a quivering wreck. Also, she has some special monk ability to leap as far as she wants, but it only applies to conclusions.

Hmm, gotta love the Veggietales.

As for what I can't stand, barney, but I already new I couldn't stand that show before I had my son. But then he doesn't watch mutch TV anyway, and if I don't care for it, we simply don't watch it.

Another nod for VeggieTales.

Most of the other stuff (PBS usually) I just tune out if I'm in the room while they are watching it. Barney is the one show that I cannot tolerate and will not allow the kids to watch.

Get the Meatball hooked on Little Bear. Can't get much safer than that. :)

Are you mad???? Have you not seen the episode where Little Bear is attacked by an angry whale?

I had a long conversation with work people that culminated in us all wondering why the heck they even MADE that episode. All of our kids run screaming from the room when the whale appears.

My daughter went through a Dora and Diego phase...I tolerated it. She would watch about 5 minutes of the show, then come running to me and say "Daddy, be Diego! There's a (insert made-up animal here) in trouble!" She'd come up with an elaborate scenario that she would have to help "Diego" work his way through. That was cool, much better than actually watching the show...if exhausting. I can only do so many funny animal voices before I have to go watch Clockwork Orange, or something...

Jakers lost her interest, sadly. She's into Veggie Tales, which I have mixed feelings about, but she also likes a lot of the other shows that are on NBC's Qubo lineup along with it. There's a new one, My Friend Rabbit, that she loves (and I can take)

Avatar is awesome. She also used to tell me that she was a waterbender, and used to pratice her waterbending Tai Chi moves in the bathtub. I think I look forward to the show more than she does...

But the icing on the cake? Her new favorite show in the entire world, that she will watch over, and over, and talk about endlessly? The old Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, that they are re-airing on Toon Disney. Makes this ol' gamer proud, it does...

Just, instead of hearing "Daddy, be Diego!", now it's "Daddy, be Bobby! And Hank, and Dungeon Master and Venger!"

Sigh...

The D&D cartoon, I never tire of repeating, has been pretty much always on air in Brazil since the mid-80s. It may stop for a bit, but four or so months later it's back, and always at a nice spot (before noon), with very decent ratings.

I don't think I've seen that episode. I've seen at least 2 that have whales in them, but I don't think I've ever seen Little Bear attacked by one.
