Best Archer?

I've got a ranger/wizard/arcane archer in one game and he's turned out to be nasty. But then I find using precise shot and a raging meat shield very useful in melee.

Beastmaster, from Complete Adventurer. Get yourself a good Mongolian warhorse, and at higher levels a dire eagle, then wade through battle peppering your foes with arrows whilst taking cover behind your invincible mount.
