Clean forgot my Commando dude. Clear winner for me is The Good Sir James Douglas, a knight so radical he once came out of a clearing with about 50 mates to meet an unexpected force of about 1500. At which point he ordered a cavalry charge, cut through the enemy line, wheeled, cut back into the enemy line, killed the enemy commander and all the rest ran away.
For anyone into 'above and beyond' mentalities there's a lengthy post on his exploits on the blog. Probably not for the casual reader.
