Best Current RPG Artist?

since we're talking _current_, i'd have to go with Lockwood, Vinod Rams, and Matt Stawicki.

Old school, and we get Brom and Elmore. Unfortunatly i havent seen much from either these days.

Oooh!, there are so many cool artists around today, let alone from days gone by. Let's see...

Definitely a big fan of Adrian Smith, kudos to Yuval for getting him for Red Spire. Paul Bonner is another ex-GW artist who is superb.

Lovin' Wayne Reynolds' work at the moment, and a big fan of Lockwood and Wood too.

Guys who are relatively new and should be getting top gigs-
Andy Brase (Braz)- great detailed pen and ink style, awesome stuff for Midnight.

Ralph Horsley- great, detailed, classical and classy work.

But the Master is Frazetta, it's what he doesn't need to paint that makes him so good.

Well, thats my two penneth worth.

I've always been a huge Todd Lockwood fan; I really like Jason Engle's work, too (picked up a whole slew of his originals at GenCon; I love his linework).

One of the books I picked up at Gen Con was Larry Elmore's Women of the Woods. It is a D20 NPC book that has detailed write ups of several female NPCs with all the illustrations by Elmore.
