That's Jason Engle; his art rocks!

He also did all the art for the Fuzion edition of Shards of the Stone, which is a pretty good book (almost good enough to make me play Fuzion) if you can find it.

Jason Engle. His works continue to impress me. If you can find a copy, try looking for an rpg called "Shards of the Stone". His artwork is featured throughout the entire book.

Jason Engle's art may be seen in Bastion Press' Oathbound: Plains of Penance and the joint project of Allies & Adversaries (w/ Talisman Studios).

In my opinion, this guy is one of the top 3 full color artists in the industry right now. I'd love to have some of his stuff for my desktop wallpaper... :)

I met him at GenCon last year and got to see some of his stuff, and WOW. My fiancee wouldnt let me buy any of the originals... Next time I go, I will though.

I would go with Sovereign Stone. It combines the retro 80s D&D artwork of Jim Holloway with Ork babes.

Hey, are you trying to put this thread back on topic?!?

Ok, maybe that's not such a bad idea... ;) My favorite is probably the Manual of the Planes. Though the illustation with the innkeeper in the DMG could almost make that book my favorite! Reckon' that guy doesn't spend much money on bouncers... :p

I liked Deities & Demigods best. A few clunkers but I especially liked the Norse pantheon and the work of G. Angus, and I think that Swekel's work and the altar scene on p.14 is a real knockout as well.

For third party interior art, I like Green Ronin's best.
