We've all seem them before: every once in a while, some schmuk comes along with another needlessly powerful fighter-mage combionation, and there's always some new name. What's the best one?

liked Knights of the cressent, i'm not sure who can up with the class, it was for 2e, but I played one in a Dragonlance campaign. The DM set them up as the guardians of wizardry, which seemed logical to him becuase of the hole weapons restriction deal(at least i think that was his reason, it was a long time ago), and set up thier order to mirrior the tower of high sorcery. I.E. they werew knights of the black, white, and red cressents.
The whole thing worked well, I was a white knight and try to play as a paladin of the gods of magic, the class was pretty well balanced.

None of those names sound very good, actualy.

And of course, it wouldn't be jack if there wasn't a dig at someone who bothers to make a new class :)

Actualy, I sorta like "Magic's Guardian", but that's not really a "traditional" sound for a class name.

what is it with you and knocking me while using the word "guardian" in the same sentence?

I guess I'm going to end up going with arcane warrior when I try my hand at this...
