"Best" non-core 4 character party?

That's when the DM pulls out the pre-dawn of time overdeity with infinite HD (in all classes and in outsider racial) and infinite divine ranks.
Pun-Pun already has those and more. Although I believe popular opinion is that the Infinite Regression Psion could defeat Pun-Pun, but at that point you're subtracting infinity from infinity and conventional math breaks down (Never mind that the D20 system broke ages ago if you're playing them).

I forgot to mention Rule 0.

No DM would let his player's play that party.

I think what the OP was more asking for was parties that wouldn't be banned as a default.

Man, try to make the best and you get beat down for being too good. :)

On a more serious note, does anybody else find it amusing that the "best" party lists here look remarkably like the "Worst" parties in the other thread (Ninjas in particular are prominent on both lists)?

The Ninja has no place in a "best" party. Not when the Scout is available.

The Spellthief is only as good as the buffs he can reliably steal -- when together with a Warlock and Dragonfire Adept, he can be pretty darn good, depending on their Invocation selection.

For the parties I've written here, I try to keep them all at the same "renewal rate". Some parties can do their thing all day (Binder / Warblade / Warlock), while others can pull out some big guns a few times a day (Barbarian / Psion / Cleric) and then would like to rest for a while.
