Best non-WotC Base Classes?

Love 'em. Use 'em. Very nice tool to have.

Non WotC? Tough call, there are so many good ones.

Almost any of the Arcana Evolved classes, and I also really like the Fell Caller and Gun Mage from Iron Kingdoms.

 

[Psion]

A few...

1. Martial Artist (from Beyond Monks, Goodman Games) - A less mystical unarmed combatant than the monk.
2. Shaman (Shaman's Handbook, Green Ronin) - A flexible and easy to use take on an animist priest. Great sub for the cleric and druid if you wish to yank those troublesome spotlight hogs from your game.
3. Eldritch Weaver (Advanced Player's Manual, Green Ronin) - A great spellcasting class that can create custom "theme mages" with special abilities that compliment their narrowly focused spells.
4. Society Mind (Untapped Potential, Dreamscarred Press; also available free on their website) - A great psionic class that specializes in teamwork and groupthink!
5. Mage (Elements of Magic Revised, ENPublishing) - A great magic using variant that can build spells on the fly, but built smartly enough that this does not become a burden in combat.
6. Jack-of-all-Trades (Black Company Campaign Setting, Green Ronin) - A nice take on the non-rogue skill-based character.

Just a question: anyone ever use something from the FanCC Netbook of Classes (I know, those are 3.0, but I'm sure the tweaks would be minor)? What did you think of them? How about the witch from Liber Mysterium?

I really like the Totem Warrior from Arcana Evolved. Not only is this a fun class mechanically, it has flavor written all over it.

Green Ronin's psychic is great too.
