Best on TV Right Now? Post Your Opinion.

IMO the best series right now is HBO's The Wire. By a wide margin.

I've heard quite a number of good things about this show. Once I'm done with my current Netflix run, I'll probably pick that up in rental.

Right now, my favorite TV has to be Heroes. After that, it becomes difficult.
Right behind it is Supernatural. Then Lost, Doctor Who, Medium, Veronica Mars, and The Batman in about that order. After those, Smallville.

I greatly enjoyed the first seasons of Deadwood and Battlestar Gallactica. I have not seen the second seasons yet, but as it stands now, I think BG is one of the finest dramatic series on the air.

Battlestar Galactica for me. Nothing else like it on TV.

House is the best show I've seen on a major network, and probably comes in second.

I've got some friends who don't care for it either, but I haven't been able to get a satisfactory answer out of them as to why, other than than don't find it compelling. But my wife (so not a genre fan) and I think its the most gripping program on TV.

Hmmm. Obviously, being a different country, different shows are on.

Currently: Spooks. Brotherhood has just started and the first episode seems good.

Looking forward to: Top Gear, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Rome Season 2.

US shows I like but aren't on here right now: The Shield, The Sopranos, Smallville, Battlestar Galactica.

Guilty secret: The X Factor.

Don't rate: Eureka.

Eh, it wasn't my intent not to listen to your response, seeing as I asked for it.

Chalk it up to bad phrasing on my part. What I should I said was "None of my friend who dislike the show want to talk about it. All I can get from them is a single sentence "I don't find it compelling", and nothing else. Which is odd, since most of them like to talk, and drink, but not neccessarily in that order.

Maybe later when this thread dies, or another thread...
