Who has the best prices on mini's online. I would like to get some WotC mini's and some pewter ones for characters. I don't have many now and want to build up. So who are your favorite suppliers?

I sell WotC minis here on Enworld. You can get to my list of inventory from the link in my sig.

I need to restock on the newer sets, but I have plenty from the out-of-production sets.

Auggies Games on E-bay. Best store out there.

Go to maxminis and check and see if they still have a sticky thread to the commercial sites and check around.

Are there other companies making prepainted mini's on the same scale as DnD mini's I should look for?
I think for pre-painted minis, you're either going with WotC stuff or HeroClix, although I don't know how close they are to the same scale.

Pre-painted plastic minis ain't cheap to produce, unfortunately. Learn to love unpainted metal, that's what I say! :)

I am a huge fan of the Warstore (http://www.thewarstore.com/). They have had amazing service each time I've used them and their prices are good as well.

On The Miniatures Page I've never heard a bad thing said about the place and numerous great ones.

Dwarven forge has some prepainted plastic minis.

In addition to using the D&D painted plastics, I "comb" ebay for deals on MageKnight minis. Some of them are very good. I've gotten some real good minis that would have cost a lot with lead or plastic for very cheap. Go to WizKids website and you can see the pictures, then search in ebay under that miniatures name.

I use a "widget" to scrape them off the base and then glue them to a new normal base (whatever kind floats your boat). I use whatever plastic bases I have in my "extra parts" box and I also buy wooden 1" or 2" discs from hobbie shops like Michaels, etc. Usually you can get 10 wooden discs for a buck or two.

You can also use the dreamblade miniatures. Some of the commons and uncommons are very cheap on ebay and you get some great miniatures. Take alook at the Ogre. I think I picked up a few for only $1.00 each, scraped them off the base and re-based them. For under $5.00 I now have a handful of Ogres, with fair paint jobs, ready for use. Try getting 3 lead Ogres for that price. Hope this helps.
