The best part is that I didn't purchase the book.

What bits did you think were pretty freakin' sweet?
That's a strange way to spell Galdalf. =P
This is a small thing, but I like how they gave us actual little messages to translate using the Dwarvish and Elvish alphabets in the Races chapter. I've translated the Elvish one completely; still working on the Dwarvish one. I think there may be an error with the Dwarvish alphabet, as the W, X and Z letters all have the same rune. Also, some of the runes on the stone don't really look like what's in the table above, but I've been able to guess what some of them are based on the context.
That's a strange way to spell Elminster...or Gandalf.![]()
This is rather specific as it plays to my particular interests, but I like what SCAG brought to the table for knights and paladins. We get the Purple Dragon Knight and Oath of the Crown archetypes, the Knight of the Order background, a good bit of information on the deity Helm and the Order of the Gilded Eye, and melee cantrips that work for both Eldritch Knights and paladins. It's almost like a mini-splatbook for those character concepts.
