I can't remember the exact circumstances of this one, but it had to do with someone deciding what type of character they wanted to play.

"Let me make this simple for you. Why don't you just play yourself and be an a$$%@!e."

It was directed jokingly to one of my friends at the con who was being far too waffly in his decision making for my taste.

I just remembered one:

When playing a Berserker during an Iron Heroes game on Saturday night I was practically chanting "Hit me!" whenever the DM rolled his attacks against me.

However, whenever he rolled a natural 20 against me (which was far too often) my chant changed to, "I said HIT me, not CRIT me!"

From The Roast of Ed Greenwood

R. A. Salvatore: "Ed is like Santa Claus? Only in a Bill Bob Thornton kind of way."

While standing in line to get the free Gamestation dice Thursday morning, another exhibitor walked up and asked:

"What's this line for?"

our response: "Free dice"

"Free dice? That's it? Why can't I get a line?"

To which my friend responded to him "Get better stuff in your booth."

Gamescience was giving out free dice? Why didn't I hear of that? I stopped at Mr. Zocchi's booth everyday, and never heard anything about free dice...

Hey, Rich, I think I forgot to mention it before but Gamescience is giving away free dice and since we get into the dealer room early we can line up and get them no problem......

They had an ad in the coupon book but only to the first 500 people. I never did manage to get any as I was always there too late in the day.

Ah, that was me, a.k.a. Rich. :heh: You didn't think I was really going to sit on her knee, now, did you? I mean, the thought crossed my mind, but I'm married, and you were there, and... OK, shutting up now.

I wish Archon hadn't been quite so quick with his response. I had a little betting pool quickly developing in my head over what would happen next. It would have been nice to freeze time for the three of you; collect the action from everyone else in the room, then resume the timeline to hear the outcome.

Oh well, another lost chance to make a couple bucks... Damn that quantum physics!

Are you sure it was Gamescience? Tiny little overstuffed booth way over near the artshow, with Lou Zocchi hawking the virtues of his dice out front? I went by there first thing on Friday, and there was no line.
