Best Quotes of GenCon

Gamestation was giving away free dice w/coupon... I had not heard of Gamescience doing so. :)

My overheard one-liner:

"Oh sh*t, Darth Maul's our GM!?!?"

Spoken by a fellow gamer as Darth Maul walked up to the table.

(Gotta love costume-contest day.)

Cthulhu's Librarian said:
Are you sure it was Gamescience? Tiny little overstuffed booth way over near the artshow, with Lou Zocchi hawking the virtues of his dice out front? I went by there first thing on Friday, and there was no line.

Ooops. I stand corrected. Maybe that is why I got no free dice.

One of the quotes that I found humorous (and no, I am not trying to start a controversy, I just found it humorous)...while leaving the Ennies, someone I didn't know said:

"Leave it to Justin Achilli to lower property values in front of nine year olds"

(I assume that the individual was refering to Gelfling Chrystine)

Regardless of if I was offended (and I suppose that I was offended with the setting more than the F-bomb), I still found this comment to be funny.

"Perhaps we could relocate you...to some sort of....camp. Somewhere where you can just kick back and *concentrate*. We know just the place, it's called Mousewitz"

- Our failed negotiating strategy with the mouse people in Nascrag.

Quotes.. I thought you'd never ask.

Standing at the EN Booth some guy comes up and takes Xath's picture. Buttercup mentions that she thinks he is some sort of staff photographer saying:

"He's not just some miscellaneous fatbeard". I nearly lost it.

In Mark's Saturday morning game, the sorcerer cast mage armor on his horse.
"The horse has Mage Armor!"

In the first Round Robin game on Thursday, this elven wizard had been knocked unconscious. The player mentioned that he was taking him.
"I loot the elven wizard, meaning, I am taking the elven wizard."

In the Round Robin game on Saturday, Pielerinho deals with an awful ability score that he'd rolled:
"I take 10.... and get an 8."

But the winner has got to be someone that wasn't even attending Gen Con. The cashier at McDonald's. In the McDonald's, the line entering in would often get flooded with one of the checkout lines. I was at the second cash register, and had just ordered, and along with others was waiting on my food. Some people who had just entered couldn't see that she was free, so she called out:
"I can help the next person over here...."

now, keep in mind that this is all full of gamers at this point...
so, she follows up her first statement, though much more less audible with this gem:
"... with your order, not with counseling."
