Best Season Finale of 2003?

Well? They are all over now so what was your favorite? I didn't add a SPOILER tag because I wanted people to be able to view this without having things ruined. We have separate threads for spoiler talks and the like.

Out of all the shows I watched, I have to say that while the Angel & Buffy finales were cool the Alias finale took the cake. I would have said Farscape's was because it was done the best, however we were left hanging and there will be no proper end so I have excluded it (if there was another season coming it would have tied with Alias). Enterprise's was good as was Smallville's. None of them were particularly bad, thank God.

I'm pretty pleased with all the season finales of the past couple weeks. I'd have to say the two that stand out for me are The West Wing and Smallville, for similar reasons. Both of them start up some pretty exciting storylines, and do a good job of building the tension towards a cliffhanger ending.

The Buffy finale was good, but loses a lot of points for me because it failed to wrap up all the loose ends of the season. Angel and Enterprise both were fine, and showed a glimpse of new directions, but not terribly exciting in and of themselves. 24 didn't really compare to The West Wing.

Well I haven't gotten a chance to see Smallville or Enterprise yet, but out of the ones I did see...

Alias: A very interesting season finale and makes me want to see next season.

Buffy: I really liked the finale and enjoyed the fact that everything wasn't wrapped up in a neat little bow.

Angel: The defeat of Jasmine was quite sudden, but the overall ending was interesting.

24: Well it pretty much wrapped up everything, but it didn't grab me as much as I expected to.

OK: Enterprise, Buffy, 24, Charmed

Final Nail in Coffin: Practice, Boston Public

Hmmm... i seem to have a lot more spare time now.

Saw the finales for Smallville, 24, and Enterprise. None of them left me feeling super-charged for the new season, but they were all pretty good. I'd say that Smallville squeaks by to take top spot for me though.

For me, West Wing was by far the best season finale.

Angel was good; Buffy and Enterprise were a bit dissapointing but ok; and I just realized I don't watch anything else.

Smallville and Angel both made me angry that there's a season between spring and autumn.

ER was great, especially since it was a "field trip" episode which are usually hit or miss.

I practically got my lighter out for the Buffy finale to wave around end-of-the-concert-power-ballad style. I'm gonna miss that show like I miss birthdays at Chuck E. Cheese. Just think, I'm never gonna hear another Xander quip. Never again giggle when Willow drops hints about her sex life. Never again play Spot the Gratuitous Monty Python Reference. Never again get to root for Spike (well, maybe I will). Never again see another Trogdor the Burninator reference on network TV. -Sigh-.

It won't be out for another week, but the Six Feet Under finale is shaping up to be pretty huge. Could be the be-all end-all of season finales this year.
