I'll agree with whoever said "Smallville" or "Lois & Clark".
Smallville is great. But Lois & Clark was, in my opinion, awful. Dean Cain just isn't Superman - he doesn't look like him, doesn't sound like him, and has next to no charisma or presence. Teri Hatcher was pretty bad, too (although the guy who played Perry White was superb).

Supergirl is not as bad as it was destined to be.

What?

I don't understand...

I've seen Supergirl more than once, and I'm not sure how you can put it in the same sentence as the phrase "not as bad"...

To those who weren't bothered by the "turn back the Earth" bit in Superman I, I present to you this question...

How can Superman be fast enough to turn back time, but he had to struggle to catch the first nuke, and couldn't reach the second in time to stop it? Even if you don't have a problem with him being able to turn back time, those two facets of the movie simply don't mesh. He was visibly straining to catch that first missile.

I'm all for "dramatic license," but not when two parts of a movie so totally contradict each other.

(I also far prefer the weaker, more fallible Superman of the more modern comics; I don't think he should be able to do things like turn back time. But that's actually a secondary issue in this case.)

Mouse-> This is a reflection of the comics at the time. For instance, in an issue, Supes and Supergirl _flew_ straight across Warworld, tearing it up, but Supergirl was rendered unconscious and the momentum just kept her going, so Superman started flying after across the void of space. He just keep accelerating until, suddenly, the Spectre stops him rather forcefully. The reason? Supergirl had flown so fast she _exited existeance itself_ (!!!). The panel actually showed her flaying out of an infinity sign filled with galaxies! But she was uncoscious, so it would be alright, but Supes was awakened, and therefore couldn't be allowed to _fly_ out of the universe! (The Spectre, otoh, could just pick her up and bring her back... as he did).

In those days, the Flash could even travel through time without the Cosmic Treadmill!

Eh, probably true, since "Lois & Clark" never really held my attension very long. I always attributed it more to the writing than the acting, though. But that doesn't mean it wasn't both.
